Put Your Right Foot, Put Your Left Foot…..IN!
Stand up straight.
Take a deep breath.
Walk down the hall.
Look down at your feet.
Walk back down the hall.
Are your feet pointed straight? Probably not.
Walk down the hall again.
Try walking back with your toes pointed straight.
It does. It your foot is pointed outward, or inward it is time to correct it. It’s very simple, and annoyingly time consuming. Every time you can, look down and make sure when you walk that your toes are forward. This may mean that you feel like you are walking pigeon toed for a month or just the opposite, but it does work. You just have to keep at it.
My friend calls this “loose ass syndrome”. Which succinctly means that your glutes and attachments are just a little too flabby. Squats are your friend. I have an app on my phone called “Squats” (imagine that) it is by Rittr Labs and its free. They also have other apps, but I find this is a good one. Just put it on your phone and you will have a personal trainer there to help you!
You will find it takes about a month to get a natural gait with your new and improved gait and posture….Squat on my friend!
